Ideas to ignite the spirit Print E-mail
image Make your boys’ time with the team worth remembering. Whether you come together through an official organization or not, there is no limit to the spirit and pride you can bring to your favorite team!

The following list of suggestions gives a few ideas to make this the best season ever! Get in touch with spirit coaches for cheerleading, etc. Be sure to supplement their efforts and not take away from their traditions. Every community is unique, every team program is structured differently, and every group of football moms has its own way of helping. Work together to make your school the one that everybody wants to go to. View this as a starting point and generate other ideas and possibilities.

  • Away game food – Junior Varsity and Varsity
  • Year-round birthday card delivery
  • Baby picture scrapbook page display board
  • Banners and signs for each game
  • Help with calender, website, paperwork
  • Spraying down equipment with disinfectant
  • Coaches gifts at end of season
  • Fundraising - carwash, powder puff games, etc.
  • Help provide rewards and recognition
  • Signs made with cups in the fence
  • Goody bags for game day
  • Highlight part
  • Community Kick-off - outside movie/tailgating
  • Locker decorations and notes
  • Scrap booking and photography
  • Calling tree
  • Senior night
  • Special merchandise sales
  • Tailgate parties
  • "Night under the lights" - Varsity with elementary
  • Team Dinners
  • Breakdown breakfast (film, not nerves!)
  • Assistance on team photo day
  • Luncheon or refreshments for two-a-day
  • Paint affirmative statements in field house, etc.
  • Line the drive with spirit signs
Adopt a player – not every son has his parents support, but every one needs it. Step in to validate every player’s importance, but step quietly, of course.
